1. Snorkeling Through Mayan Coast Coral Reef

 

 

Mayan Coast Coral Reef  is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, consisting of a reef barrier that starts from the coast of Cancun and reaches Honduras.


The reef system is home to over 65 species of stony corals, 350 species of molluscs and more than 500 species of fish of various shapes and colors.

Many species that live in or around the reef are endangered or under some degree of protection, including sea turtles, which can be found; Green Turtle, Turtle Loggerhead, Leatherback and Hawksbill, the West Indian manatee, the American Crocodile, Moreletii Crocodile, The Great Toad Fish, Queen Conch, The Nazzau Grouper Fish, The Elkhorn Coral, The Black Coral, etc

 

 

 >> This activity is a boat ride through the coral reef located in front of the Mayan Coast, where we will snorkel and observe Sea Sponges, Seahorses, Colorful Fish, Stingrays, Starfish, Countless of Coral Formations, likewise, if we're lucky we can even see a Manatee.

 

                  

 

 

 

 

 

2. Snorkeling With Tourtles

 

Mayan Coast Coral Reef is well known for having several number of tourtles living and feediing nearby the coral reef in a special place that our guides know very well where is common to see them, in this special spot of the coral reef we would be able to see the three different species of tourtles that live in the caribbean, The Green Tourtle (Chelonia midas), The Logger Head Turtle (Caretta caretta) and sometimes if you are really lucky the Hawksbill Tourtle (Eretmochelys imbricata).

And you will be able to se closely this magnificent and beautyful animals swiming and feeding in their natural habitat.

 

>> We would get to this special place in the reef where is common to see this tourtles feed and swim and swim around trying to find them, remember these are wild animals so is impossible to assure the sightening of any wild animal, on the other part we got that in 90% of the tours we would able to see at least one turtle and sometimes even 4 or 5 tourtles if we are lucky.

4. Visit to Chachobben Archeological Zone

 

 

Chacchobén is a Mayan archaeological site located near the homonymous town of Chacchobén, 70 km. from the Mexican city of Chetumal. Its name alludes to "red corn". The site corresponds to the largest settlement reported to date in the area known as the Los Lagos Region.
 

 

>> In this Activity we will visit the Archaeological Zone of Chacchoben where we can find the various pyramidal bases and observe some species of birds from the region in the jungle and even the Spider Monkey and some other species that inhabit the place.
